One of the greatest classics of Vietnamese Cinema, Little Girl of Hanoi was filmed amidst the smoke and rubble of the actual Christmas bombardment that took place in Hanoi.

After the American B-52 bombing of Kham Thien Street and Bach Mai hospital, little Ngoc Ha’s family is shattered. After her mother dies trying to save children in a kindergarten and her younger sister is brought to a hospital in a critical condition, Ngoc Ha encounters a variety of strangers as she wanders the war-torn streets looking for her father.
