Full Synopsis

A filmic diptych, the first part sees Jiseok – having recently ended an affair with her married professor – on holiday with her girlfriends in mountainous Kangwon. The second, follows her former lover Sangwon, on a trip with his colleague, in the same region at the same time. Although their paths never cross, they unknowingly mirror each other as they respectively experience drunken spats, ungainly sex, and in a darkly serendipitous manner, encounter a  couple involved in a murder investigation.

The second in his prolific oeuvre, the film marks the beginning of Director Hong Sang-soo’s career-long experimentations with narrative structure, as well as his starkly honest exploration of male-female relationships.
