After gang leader Yeung’s poppy fields are torched by a law enforcement task force, she retaliates by ordering the assasination of the officers involved. In response, the police hire the mercenary Angel Organisation, whose agents begin by seizing a large shipment of drugs. A complex sub-plot unravels, eventually leading the Angels to a final showdown with Yeung and her men.
Energetic and unapologetic, this title from the Girls with Guns subgenre packs a punch to the Fatal & Fallen lineup. Featuring audacious stunts and an electrifying soundtrack, the film combines martial arts and femme fatales and ultimately speaks to the affect of girl boss feminism and the postfeminist masquerade.
