I Not Stupid revolves around the lives and families of Terry, Kok Pin and Boon Hock, three Primary 6 boys from different social backgrounds who are placed in the academically inferior EM3 stream and are constantly bullied. As the boys deal with their academic and emotional stress, their parents too have to navigate the pressures of Singapore’s society.
This presentation of I Not Stupid is made possible through the digitisation of a 35mm release print preserved by the Asian Film Archive. The digitisation is generously supported by the Singapore Chinese Cultural Centre.
