Synopsis

Returning to Iran after many years in Germany, newly-divorced Ahmad goes on a weekend trip to the Caspian Sea with his former college mates, their spouses and children. Unbeknownst to the rest, the reunion’s organiser Sepideh invites her daughter’s kindergarten teacher, Elly, with the intention of matchmaking her with Ahmad. The jovial atmosphere soon evaporates as Elly suddenly disappears on the second day, prompting suspicion and panic amongst the group.

Playing out mainly within the confines of a remote, dilapidated seaside villa, love, friendship, and trust are put on trial in this finely-tuned mystery.
