Free outdoor screening of Sarjan Hassan (1955), a WWII film from Singapore

You have probably seen high budget war films such as Saving Private Ryan and Thin Red Line. What about films that deals with war and memories from Southeast Asia?
There will be a free film screening of a classic war film on 10 Feb, Sat. Sarjan Hassan (aka "Sergeant Hassan") is co-directed by two film masters in the 50s: P. Ramlee from Singapore and Lamberto Avellana, from Philipines. P. Ramlee also stars as a young soldier who rose to be a hero of the people.
This screening is held in conjunction with the anniversary celebrations of two WWII museums here – Reflections at Bukit Chandu and Memories at Old Ford Factory.
The screening venue, Reflections at Bukit Chandu, is also where our Malay Regiment defended Singapore during the WWII. A famous battle – Battle of Pasir Panjang – is fought here from 8-14th Feb 1942.
