The Asian Film Archive initiates outreach programmes that help develop an understanding
and appreciation for the language, art and industry of the film media. Participants
learn to decode moving images, to ask critical questions about its creation and
their purpose.
Moving Minds Programme
The Moving Minds Programme has been well received by educators and is proudly supported
by our partners, Creative Community Singapore, the Media Development Authority of
Singapore, National Archives of Singapore and National Arts Council (Tote Board Arts Grant). The programme consists of:
Educators Workshop
These workshops are aimed at providing resources and services that are directly
relevant to the teaching and learning of moving image media in the school curriculum.

Film Literacy Seminar
Film Literacy Seminars equip students with the ability to analyze, appreciate and
communicate messages in film and video. It engages students through screenings of
critically-acclaimed films, presentations on the art and language of film, interactive
activities and quizzes to assess understanding.

Moving Minds Lab and Forum
Students get to investigate the dynamics of the local film industry in the Moving
Minds Lab. They initiate, drive and evaluate film related social projects to benefit
the community through actual cases and mentorship.
